Juicey Media YouTube Production Support

Context

Juicey Media is a creator-led YouTube channel producing firearms-adjacent content with a focus on video-driven product, range, and creator storytelling. CTZN has supported Tyler at Juicey Media for nearly a year as the primary videographer during production days. Tyler handles the final edit, and CTZN supports the shoot itself through camera operation, shot planning, technical recommendations, and creative direction during filming. The work sits at the intersection of creator support, firearms media, and practical production: helping a creator capture better footage, structure shoot days, and make stronger technical decisions on set.

Challenge

Creator-led YouTube production often means moving quickly while still capturing enough coverage for a strong final edit. Shoots have to balance personality, product context, range and location constraints, technical detail, and viewer-friendly pacing. Because Tyler handles the edit, the production work has to give him clean, usable footage with enough options to build the episode later. That means making smart decisions during the shoot: what angles matter, what needs to be covered again, when a technical shot needs a different approach, and how to capture footage in a way that supports the final story. The challenge was not simply pressing record. It was helping the creator get the footage needed to make the video work.

CTZN role

CTZN acted as videographer and on-set production support for Juicey Media YouTube shoots. The role included camera operation, framing, coverage decisions, creative direction during shoots, recommendations for technical shots, and helping determine the best way to capture product details, range activity, demonstrations, and creator-led segments. CTZN also helped Tyler think through what needed to be captured during production so the final edit would have stronger structure, cleaner visuals, and better supporting footage. Tyler handles the edit and the channel voice.

Production approach

The production approach focused on being useful on set without overcomplicating the creator workflow. Shoots called for practical camera operation, attention to firearm and range context, awareness of product details, and the ability to recommend better angles or coverage when a shot needed to communicate something specific. Because the final edit was handled by Tyler, CTZN prioritized clean capture, usable coverage, strong B-roll, and in-the-moment creative direction that gave the edit more to work with.

Outcome / use

The footage supported Juicey Media's YouTube content pipeline and gave Tyler material to edit into published creator videos. The work added dedicated camera operation, technical shot support, and creative direction during filming, while Tyler kept control of the final edit and the channel voice.
